The talents of Belle & Sebastian merge so well with the beautiful voice of Norah Jones, that I am forced to use a term often reserved for business acquisitions and mergers: synergy. Consider that your business lesson for the day.
At any rate, there is an apparent synergy between these two musical powerhouses that isn’t often seen in mainstream music, or more specifically, executed so well. The interesting thing about this particular song isn’t that it’s the perfect backdrop for the cold winter nights that are upon us. No, it’s the fact that neither of the musical styles of the artists dominate one another, and instead, what emerges is a unique musical amalgamation that fans of either artist can appreciate.
